It’s no shock – we do everything to keep your products safe.

The most serious threat to sensitive computing equipment is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). So we at Dynamic Systems, Inc. use stringent, fully standardized environmental control measures to ensure the long life and integrity of your components and systems in accordance with ANSI/ESD S20.20 Electrostatic Discharge control program standards. We apply these stringent requirements to all projects, from simple memory/disk integration to complex switch integration and image loads and everything in between.

Curious? Learn more about ESD:

  • What is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)?
Static electricity is created with movement, and when contact and separation occurs between two materials, electrons are transferred from the atoms on the surface of each material. An imbalance of electrons is called an electrostatic charge which is then discharged when the charged material comes in contact with another material – like a person handling an electronic component. The resulting electric charge cause undetectable but irreparable damage to electronic components. In other words, a big no-no in the technology field.
  • What we do to prevent it: All Dynamic Systems, Inc. team members are trained to guard against ESD with strict precautionary measures which include grounding, shielding, and neutralization. In our static-safe workstations, grounding is accomplished by directly linking our technicians to the ground via wrist and foot straps and using conductive flooring. With this precaution, we prevent any potentially damaging charges from being generated and transferred to delicate mechanisms. Shielding is the use the Faraday-cage properties of conductive shielding bags to isolate all sensitive IT components from possible ESD damage during transportation. And neutralization includes the use of ionizers on every workstation in our ESD-safe environment to neutralize the surrounding air and remove outstanding charges from nearby objects.
